Jake Smollett spoke on Instagram Sunday in defense of his brother Jussie Smollett. In the 7 minute video he drops new bombs about the background history of detectives, ties to the Trump administration and urges black investigative journalists to ‘wake up’ to the facts. CPD law enforcement has a history of covering up crimes and tampering with evidence. Here are 5 unknown facts exposed in the Jake Smollett video.
Jussie Smollett’s Charity Work
One of the speculations by the CPD was that Smollett planned an elaborate hoax to acquire more fame. Jake Smollett refutes that theory, stating: “Jussie would turn down numerous TV show offers, club appearances and big big bucks if it didn’t align with his values. Just two months before the attack Jussie raised 1 million dollars for the Black Aids Institute and gave all his ticket sales to charity totaling almost $200,000.” Jake spoke about more charity efforts and further went on to say: “He never looked for attention for it, it’s always been about the work for him and not the fame. “
The MAGA Hats
No detective or police record indicates that Smollett alleged that the attackers were wearing MAGA hats. However, the media through the CPD claimed that red MAGA hats were part of Smollett’s original claim. “They claim he(Jussie) said the attackers were wearing MAGA hats. He never said that, and yet they’ve based their entire investigation on those ugly red MAGA hats.” On Good Morning America with Robin Roberts, Jussie Smollett also emphasized that he never said anything about ‘MAGA hats’.
Detective Background History
A viral video, found by Detective Richard Hagen, shows the Osundairo brothers purchasing red hats. This footage is one of the driving forces behind the CPD’s “ hoax attack” theory. Jake Smollett speculates that the video was filmed after brothers spoke to police and also sheds light on Detective Richard Hagan’s past. “The detective who says he found the video of these brothers buying a red hat is none other than Detective Richard Hagen, who was sued by Laquan McDonald’s family for covering up a Chicago police officer murdering the child, after Laquan was shot 16 times. The City of Chicago paid $5 million to settle the lawsuit.”
Treatment of the Osundairos by the CPD
The Osundairos brothers were held by CPD for 48 hours after their home had been raided. Afterward, they were placed under a 24 hour surveillance and security hold, then CPD took them to testify at the grand jury hearing on February 20, 2019. According to police the 24 hour hold was for their own protection from the media, public etc. “On Feb 20, 2019 they were held with no food or water for 47 hours” suddenly within the 48th hour, the Osundairo brothers came up with the hoax story. Jake believes that the brothers’ admission came from CPD coercion. “The entire case is based on what the Osundairo brothers have said, or what they were put up to say.”
Ties to the Trump Family
Jake declares the Trump family as “devilish” for amplifying the attacks on Jussie due to the “MAGA” allegations. He also mentioned that the new special prosecutor on Jussie Smollett’s case has ties to the Trump family. “The special prosecutor that has been assigned to Jussie’s case, crooked Dan Webb, represents Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, and was personally asked to join the Trump Administration. It’s not a coincidence yall, it’s not.”
Jake concluded the video with a plea to the audience: “Look a bit deeper and realize that this is a massive setup on a black gay man who has dedicated his life way before anybody knew his name to the community.”
