Amber Heard Abuse – Perjury, Staged Photos, and Tabloid Help
Defamation Lawsuit

Actress Amber Heard is being investigated by the LAPD for perjury and looking at four years in prison if she is convicted. Heard was accused of ‘staging’ crime scenes in her 2016 domestic violence case against Johnny Depp. The Sun Newspaper, who Johnny Depp sued for libel and lost, also helped promote Amber Heard’s abuse story. Did Amber Heard commit perjury and stage crime scene photos?

Heard claims that on May 21, 2016, Johnny Depp continuously slapped her in the face, hit her in the face with a phone, pulled her hair, and ravaged their shared luxury penthouse. Depp’s legal team pulled no punches releasing police body cam footage of the penthouse after the alleged fight, proving crime scene photos submitted by Heard were staged. Johnny Depp’s lawyer friend, was quoted telling Bild, a German news outlet that “Amber Heard and her friend Rocky Pennington staged the May 21 crime scene to prove the abuse allegation against Johnny Depp.”

Amber Heard Abuse –  Property Manager Testimony

Property manager, Kevin Murphy told the London High courts that he also believed that Heard concocted the assault photos. On the day after the alleged attack, Amber Heard tearfully told him that Depp hit her and pulled her hair out, Murphy recalls “I remember standing roughly four feet away and becoming suspicious.” He also testified that he never saw any bruises or evidence that Heard had been hit in the face and thought the whole thing was a hoax.

The Sun UK Helped Validate Amber Heard’s Claims

The Sun UK printed Amber Heard’s version of events, calling Johnny Depp a “wife-beater”. The British tabloid also included blackened enhanced photos of Amber Heard’s bruised face, adding more validity to Heard’s claims. Johnny Depp sued The Sun Newspaper for libel and subsequently lost the initial lawsuit and the appeal hearing.

Johnny Depp is now suing Amber Heard for defamation for  an op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post. In the op-ed Heard recounts her experiences with sexual harassment and domestic violence. In defense of her op-ed, she stated: “I have spoken out about violence in public, but I have always avoided specifically referencing Johnny, or recounting his violence against me, not only because I wanted to move past that phase of my life but also because I was constrained by the terms of a strict confidentiality agreement that Johnny had insisted upon as part of our divorce settlement.”

Heard never mentioned Depp by name in the op-ed, but it’s centered around the aftermath she faced after publicly alleging she was a victim of domestic abuse. According to Depp’s lawsuit, the op-ed verbiage “depends on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her.” The lawsuit also states: “Ms. Heard is not a victim of domestic abuse; she is a perpetrator.”
